Teleconferencing or audio conferencing is an easy and inexpensive way to communicate with people situated in different locations at the same time. Many times it is not possible for everyone to meet face to face at a particular location and so this comes a

This article deals with some simple tips and things to keep in mind whenever you are going to participate in a teleconference. Usually every participant is given a common number which may be toll-free or not depending upon the service provider and also a bridge number which allows you to join the conversation.

So here are a few things to keep in mind:

o	If you are the person responsible for setting up the call then it is important that you make it as easy as possible for all the participants to dial in. You can use VoIP services like Skype, considering you are a Skype member. You then simply need to add the phone numbers into a calling group and then you are ready to make a call.

o	If you have a land line that is three ways enabled and you need to make an unplanned teleconference, then all you need to do is press the flash button on the phone and you are set. You can press the “flash” button to place the first caller on hold and then you can dial the second participant’s number and then press flash again. You then need to use a headset with a microphone which can be plugged into your phone.

o	If you are using a VoIP system then you need to plug the headset into your computer. The headset prevents anyone else from listening in to your conversation and also mutes out and distracting sounds.

Webinar of web conferencing software such as GoToMeeting or Glance are great for setting up meetings online. It is advisable that you test the software before using it for an official meeting. Make sure that it works with your caller’s operating system and their web browsers. A good tip is to try and log in early so that technical glitches, if there are any, can be taken care of immediately.

For this you need to hire a reliable teleconferencing service provider like Redback Conferencing at http://www.redbackconferencing.com.au so that there are no glitches at the base level itself.

Over the last year or so I’ve worked with a number of clients to set up teleseminars that the client then uses to create information products.

In this article I’ll outline the steps to take to set this kind of system up. It can take a good bit of work if you’re wanting to do a teleseminar series but they payoff may be big if you build it properly.

Hosting the Calls

You can either host calls with yourself as the expert speaker or bring in guests on the topic. Of course you’ll have to line up the speakers if you choose the latter. You can put whatever time you want on this. You could hold six teleseminars in two days, or do one per week for six weeks.

You’ll need to host your calls somewhere. There are a number of free conference call lines out there and there are also some paid. With another client I’ve used Instant Teleseminar quite often and it works well.

Setting up the Autoresponders

An autoresponder is an email message that you set up once and then it automatically gets sent out anytime someone signs up for that list.

You’ll want to have a main event list where someone can get information about all the calls you do. Also, set up lists for each speaker you will have so that you can set up reminder autoresponders about the upcoming call. It’s good to remind people about five days before, the day before and the day of the call. When they first sign up for the call they should get the information about the call in details and also this should be in the reminders.

Setting up the Shopping Cart

If you set up the shopping cart before the calls happen you can pre-sell your information product. Make an offer in the autoresponder messages for a special price if they purchase ahead of time. You can also make a one time offer on the autoresponder confirmation page.

Getting the Product Ready

You’ll have mp3s that you can deliver in a digital download format to those who buy the product. You may also want to have the calls transcribed as this will add to the value and will be of benefit for those who prefer to read then listen.

If you have guests ask them if they have any bonuses they would like to contribute. This will help to promote them and also add value to your product.

Setting up an Affiliate Program

If you have speakers you definitely want to set up an affiliate program. You can offer them a higher commission then a regular affiliate would get since they will have a great influence over the group they will be promoting the product to and likely sell more as a result.

As I mentioned, setting up this type of system can be a lot of hard work but if you spend the time and set it up right this can be something that pays you back for a long time to come.

Business owners, clients, and company investors can all utilize web conferencing programs as an essential tool – regardless of where everyone is located. Benefits of web and video conferencing include saving money by using less resources and time since business owners and customers can meet-up online, instead of leaving the office or having to rent a space. These programs are also environmentally friendly by reducing the need to travel. This manner of communication can be just as efficient as a face-to-face meeting if it is conducted properly.

Communicate Effectively

Web conferencing permits a business to efficiently combine the benefits of a typical phone call and those of a video feed in real time. It also delivers the capability of conducting instant messaging chats during the web meeting. Therefore, you can text, type, and communicate verbally to every individual attending the conference. With immediate access to the World Wide Web, one can also access any essential files or records right on their computer, then share them with the attendees in the meeting – all in real time.

Share Files and Pertinent Information

Web and video conferencing also allows for the distribution and handling of virtually any type of computer program or document. Any attendee, with authorization, can make modifications to these forms, if needed. During a web conference, you also have the ability to permit remote access of your computer to the other participants. This great feature allows attendees to manipulate documents and files with ease. This process eliminates the need to send emails back and forth requesting ideas or revisions. Edits and correction can all be made in real time, while attendees converse about the amendments in the live video feed.

Travel Less or Not at All

Traveling is expensive – regardless if it is international or domestic – and can have a negative financial impact on companies. When businesses have to pay for airfare, rental cars, parking fees, and hotel accommodations, finances can dwindle quickly. Not to mention if an important individual in your company has to leave for travel, you are left without that person for days. Web conferencing decreases the need for travel. Face-to-face meetings can be led via the internet, with participants attending from all over the world. Web conferencing also has great advantages for local employees. You can cut costs by working from home and holding your meetings online to discuss pertinent information. This can eliminate commuting costs and time, cut down on office expenses – since some are working from home – and can increase output.

If you are intending on running a webinar, then you will first have to register some people before you begin, and once you start your live training, these people that you have registered will attend it. However, how many of the registered people will actually attend your live training session? Do you think that all the people or at least half of the registered people will actually attend? Well, you are wrong.

According to my past experience in running a live webinar, 32% of people who register is the usual rate of people who actually show up. This simply means that if I have 100 registered people, then out of these 100 only 32 will actually show up. This percentage does no vary a lot from one webinar to another. Your results may actually vary, but you must plan on close to 1/3 of registered people to attend your live webinar training sessions.

What are people expected to do on your live webinar and what is the amount of time that you should expect them to be there? This actually depends on the person attending your live webinar, and it is one factor that actually varies from one webinar to another.

However, through my experience with running webinars, I have seen that at the top of every hour, a few people leave. This simply means that if my webinar runs at 3:30 in the afternoon, some people will leave at four o’clock, some at five o’clock and others at six o’clock. Some people only have scheduled events or appointments at the close of the hour and they lose a few people.

I have also noticed that there is a slight drop of people at the end of my live webinar. If you are trying to teach something and then move to a pitch, there are a few people who are not going to purchase, who aren’t even slightly interested in purchasing, and who will not hang around for your pitch. Even if you aren’t trying to sell something, there are a few impatient people who will leave immediately your webinar seems to wind up. They usually feel that they have got all they need to know, even if you probably have a very important thing to say at the close of your training, they will leave before the training is over.

Therefore you can expect about a 1/3 of the people who registered for your webinar to turn up. But always remember that a few people will leave early into your webinar while others will leave at the end of it. You must therefore not expect that all the people who registered for your live webinar training session will actually turn up. You should not even expect half of them to show up. The best figure that you can expect to turn up is 32% of the registered people as earlier mentioned.

Teleseminars can be a very powerful media for your information business. Here are 5 tips to help you run one without headaches.

Teleseminars can be a great way to build your customer list, to create community with your list, or to prove your abilities. Heck, they can be a great way to sell. Or a great way to teach.

But whatever your reasons for running a teleseminar you need to have your teleseminar go smoothly. Especially if you are new to them and feeling slightly uncomfortable.

In this article, I’m going to share 5 tips to help you have your teleseminar go smoothly:

1. Test your setup with someone before hand.

Always do a trial run with someone. If you are using a teleseminar service then have them call in just as they would if it were real. That way you will know for sure that the service is running. And you’ll have a chance to practice using their tools.

2. Always have an alternative service and be prepared to switch.

I remember running a webinar not very long ago. I had to announce who was hosting it and I used their signup facilities. I had been using them for sometime and felt confident doing so. Needless to say I felt somewhat embarrassed to have to email my list and tell them that the webinar was off. The service picked that day and time to go down! Don’t get caught that way. Always have two services you can use. Don’t tell anyone what service you are going to use until the last possible moment. And be sure the service is actually up before you invite everyone.

3. Write a script or at least a set of PowerPoint slides.

Talking for an hour or an hour and a half on one subject may seem like a simple task. It isn’t. You need to prepare and be prepared. Writing a full script for the show may work best for you. However, it may lead to a stunted presentation for others. If this latter is the case for you, then try creating a set of PowerPoint slides that you can use as notes. But however you do it; this isn’t the time for talking off the top of your head.

4. Practice, Practice, Practice.

Each media is different. It doesn’t matter how comfortable you are giving speeches, presenting in front of an audience or making videos. A teleseminar is different. You need to practice in order to develop that confidence that is the mark of a good speaker. Similarly you need to practice the presentation. You need to be in control of the information and be able to extend it or shorten it as you need. And you’ll never know how long the presentation really is until you’ve presented it several times. And the only way to do that is to practice.

5. Always record the practice sessions as well as the real teleseminar.

You almost always will find a use for a recorded teleseminar. In fact, you probably are planning on using the recording before you do the seminar. What are you going to do if the recording doesn’t work on the day? What if you develop a cold? What if you get confused and lose track of where you are? Having multiple recordings might just save your plans.

Why not teach your own teleclasses? What you know is worth money.

What you know is worth money. No doubt there are people who will pay you to teach it to them. Imagine getting paid to share what you know with others, simply by teaching them what you know over the telephone.

It is possible! You can make money teaching anything, to anyone, anywhere in the world. All you need is a telephone and internet connection. You do not have to be a technology expert.

We often take for granted what we know. We think it is not special because it comes to us so easily. Wrong. Your unique knowledge, skills, expertise, and life experience does not come easily for those that do not have this knowledge. You can help others learn what you know, virtually, from the convenience of your home or office.

Teaching teleclasses is right for you if you love helping others by sharing with them what you know and you want to set your own schedule, work virtually from the convenience of your home or office – saving commuting time, travel, expenses.

What will you teach? People are teaching teleclasses these days on all sorts of topics. Think about what you are good at. What do others always ask you to help them with? What is a hobby, life experience, professional expertise, or personal interest that others may want to learn? If you know it, you can teach it.

Here are eight easy steps that will to get started teaching teleclasses:

1. Select a widely interesting topic about which you are an expert – not simply a topic that you research on the internet.

2. Give your program a catchy title that will attract attention and communicate what the program is about.

3. Identify the target market & niche for your program.

4. Develop your customized program materials to distribute to the teleclass participants.

5. Teach one or an ongoing series of teleclasses depending upon the topic you teach.

6. Determine the dates, time of day, duration or calls, and number of sessions for your teleclass

7. Establish a profitable pricing strategy

8. Promote your teleclass to your niche market using both offline and online tactics including article marketing.

Teaching others what you know using a teleclass format is simple but it is not always easy. Overcome any doubts you have about being a teleclass group leader.

Remote learning can be outlined as an education program imparted by a school outside the barriers of its campus and taken by a student outside of the walls of a college.
A distance learning program is a medium that connects scholars to most of the colleges on the planet. Remote learning programs are becoming the most well liked and practical way of teaching and learning. More and more are registering for the remote learning programs of different colleges. Home-based learning programs give liberty to students to learn at their very own pace, their very own schedule and at their very own convenience. Remote learning takes place with electronic media and study materials supplied by the school for a specific course. It helps folks to upgrade their educational qualifications, even if they’re tied up in their working schedule. Some businesses also use home-based learning to coach their workers as it is easier to do, less costly and adds to the HR enrichment of the business.

To enroll for a remote learning course, one must be certain in regards to what sort of specialization they are searching for. Research must then be done to discover details about the schools and scholarships that offer the wanted course. The time period of the course, the costs, the software required and the time of examination must also be checked. The most vital factor that should be checked is that whether the college or varsity is commissioned or not: one shouldn’t register in a varsity which isn’t commissioned.

Each coin has two sides, and remote learning programs are no exceptions. While home-based learning programs are beneficial, as they help people to continue with their schooling in spite of of their demanding schedule, it also has some drawbacks. It may fail to motivate a student to study, leading to no use for the applicant: just registering yourself isn’t enough; you must have a drive in yourself to keep going with the study.

The success of distance learning also relies on the success of the technology used. Without a good supporting system and sub-structure, home-based learning could be a failure. Therefore, we are able to say that remote learning is a blessing for today’s busy and demanding world, but also demands a major level of maturity and discipline from its scholars.

A lot of people who create videos, will post it on YouTube and give it to them for free, because they realize that they will get a great amount of traffic directed to their video, and receive a number of clicks on a particular URL that they give. The question you should be asking yourself it should you post it on YouTube in the first place, and what should you notice if you do.

You can only post videos that are 10 minutes long, and there are studies that have shown that the videos that are the most popular only last for about 4 minutes. Just that reason alone, your webinar wont be able to go into to much detail of what you are talking about, and so posting it on YouTube wont actual help you sell what you need to.

YouTube and Webinars, don’t gel all that well together. For starters webinars are generally a hour long secession, and just putting certain snippets of your webinar on YouTube isn’t going to help the audience understand what it is that you are talking about.

If you do have clips that are 4 minutes long, that can hold its own you need to be wary of holding and sharing PowerPoints in the video presentation. For example if you are creating a webinar for writing articles in a very short time, and the video is split up by having a PowerPoint format on a step by step process, and the other half of you writing the articles. Then if it did only take you 4 minutes to actually write the article, then this clip would be something that is useful for YouTube.

However, PowerPoints that are on YouTube, tend to be banned very quickly because there are a lot of people that use this as spam, and for this reason they generally only allow people that are doing something that is live and actually showing people what to do, post videos.

So, if you are able to create a webinar that is a four minute clip then posting it on YouTube will be useful to you. You should be aware however, that getting to the point in just a few minutes can be a bit difficult to do, especially when you have a call to action at the end of the video. It is better for you to create videos that can be used for YouTube, rather than posting videos where you want the audience to do something after what you have just described to them.

In other words, posting videos on YouTube can have is advantages and disadvantages, and sometimes the disadvantages outweigh the advantage. For example, they only allow videos that are 10 minutes long to be posted; so from there it will be difficult to explain what the big picture is, which makes it a challenge to get that call to action following your presentation, when they are small video clips of your webinars.

There are several elements that go into a teleseminar that attract lots of listeners and buyers of your products and services. By far, landing pages are one of the most critical.

A landing page is also known as a squeeze page and lead-capture page. The amount of information on the page is usually determined by the cost of the item you are promoting.

For the purpose of this article we will be discussing teleseminars that are free as well as those for low priced spin off products.
